Hi, I'm Michael and welcome to Outdoorstype.
I established this site as a personal blog in 2014. Since then, it's grown quickly into a professional portfolio and outlet for my freelance articles related to outdoors and writing.
I left my successful retail management career in 2016 to chase my dream of becoming a professional writer and designer. I achieved an Advanced Diploma of Professional Writing and Editing at Adelaide College of the Arts in 2018. I am currently undertaking a Bachelor of Media majoring in Visual Design at University of Adelaide which I expect to complete in 2021.

Put simply, writing is my passion and I do it well.
Rather than provide an exhaustive rundown of what I do, I prefer to let my work speak for itself.
